Volunteer and Work Opportunities
**SUMMER JUNIOR LIFEGUARD/JUNIOR INSTRUCTOR OPPORTUNITY ** Previous camp attendees and/or with surfing experience independent of camp can be volunteer LITs=Lifeguard/Leaders in Training (15+, camp cost is 1/2 off or $100) and Instructors (16+). For ages 16+/paid instructors, we hold an 6 hour training prior to & on-going during surfcamp. Attendees will attain:
*LIFEGUARD & SURF INSTRUCTOR SKILL SET *LEADERSHIP/TEACHING EXPERIENCES CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
*LIFEGUARD/INSTRUCTOR TRAINING TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 18, 2024, 10-2;30 PM, $75.

"RISKY BUSINESS"/TEEN ECO/ADVENTURE CLUB Teen Mentoring/Adventure Program
*NEW~~(GRADES 8-10~~ AGES 13-16ish) Guidance and mentoring in the"risky business" of moving into adulthood/being a teen and coupled with fun, outdoor and healthy adventure activities and possibly one environmental community service project. Awareness-creating activities/discussions will be part of the outings of surfing, rock climbing (in gym), whitewater rafting, snow sports, hiking/outdoor swimming...
2024/2025 Adventure Club Schedule~6 Sundays:
Oct 13, November 17, Dec 15, Jan 12, Feb 9 and Mar 9 (subject to slight change). Depending on weather and activity, the time will be 11 am-330 pm, approx 4 to 5 hours or longer depending on activity and location.
- $60 for drop in daily rate or pay in full, discounted option is $330 for 6 Sundays.
(might be additional cost for whitewater rafting and snow sports)
